Diagnostics - The Effect of Variation in Arm Position on Sagittal Spinal Alignment - A prospective evaluation of the effect of variation in arm position on the segmental, regional, and global sagittal radiographic spinal alignment was carried out in patients with and without spinal fusion. A negative shift in the global sagittal alignment was noted when the arms were positioned at 90(degree) of flexion at the shoulder versus 30(degree). Results suggest that positioning the arms at 30(degree) of flexion from the vertical is suitable for better standardization of long cassette lateral radiographs of the entire spine/
