Clinical Studies - The Effects of Common Medical Interventions on Pain, Back Function, and Work Resumption in Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain: A Prospective 2-Year Cohort Study in Six Countries - The effects of the most commonly practiced treatments for low back pain were studied in comparable cohorts of employed, sick-listed subjects in six countries. Primary outcome measures were working/not working, pain, and back function. Almost no positive effects were detected for any of the interventions. Back surgery in Sweden was an exception./
