Diagnostics - Surface Electrode Somatosensory-Evoked Potentials in Spinal Surgery: Implications for Indications and Practice - In 10 years of experience with somatosensory-evoked potential spinal cord monitoring using surface electrodes, the sensitivity of the method was 100% and the specificity 85.33%. The method proved to be more reliable than the wake-up test, which could be avoided by intraoperative correction of any identifiable cause. Modified guidelines for intraoperative action are proposed./
