EDITORIALS - Sponsorship, Authorship, and Accountability - The authors of this editorial belong to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). They ask investigators to use the revised ICMJE requirements on publication ethics to guide the negotiation of contracts with corporate sponsors of research. Those contracts should give the researchers a substantial say in trial design, access to the raw data, responsibility for data analysis and interpretation, and the right to publish. The co-signers of this editorial are unlikely to publish articles when the authors did not enjoy these basic rights./
