Kinetic Study of Azidopentaammine Cobalt(III) Complex as Photoinitiator and Termination Agent of N-Vinylpyrrolidone Radical Polymerization Published online 20 September 2000 The radical polymerization of N-vinyl pyrrolidone was efficiently performed by excitation of (Co(NH3)5N3)2+ at 365 nm as well as at 546 nm. Two different termination processes have been established; a) a mutual annihilation at low concentration of the azide complex, that is (complex) < 2.0 x 10 4M and b) an oxidative process involving the complex into the ground state at higher concentration./
