Biomechanics - Comparison Between Sheep and Human Cervical Spines: An Anatomic, Radiographic, Bone Mineral Density, and Biomechanical Study - The purpose of this study was to compare the human cervical spine with the sheep cervical spine to determine whether the sheep spine represents a valid model for the human spine in research. Quantitative anatomic, radiographic, computerized tomograpbic, and biomedical data of the sheep and human cervical spines were evaluated. On the basis of the data obtained in this study, the sheep motion segment C3/4 seemed to be the most, reliable model for the corresponding human motion segment./
