ORIGINAL ARTICLES - Central and Peripheral Adverse Hemodynamic Changes During Laparoscopic Surgery and Their Reversal with a Novel Intermittent Sequential Pneumatic Compression Device - This study explores the influence of a novel intermittent sequential pneumatic compression device (Lympha-press) on the adverse hemodynamic changes induced by positive pressure pneumoperitoneum (PPPn) during laparoscopic surgery. PPPn of 12mmHg and head up tilt reduced the peak systolic velocity of the femoral vein by 33%, the cardiac output by 20%, and the stroke volume by 18%. Activation of Lympha-press during PPPn and head up tilt reversed these changes./
