Three-Dimensional Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology - Three-dimensional ultrasound (3-DUS) is a rapidly developing field. In this article, current clinical applications of 3-DUS in obstetrics and gynecology are discussed, and potential areas for use are suggested. A review of the advantages of 3-DUS in several fetal and gynecologic conditions is given. It is suspected that 3-DUS will be used as an adjunctive tool to two-dimensional ultrasound in the diagnostic work-up of obstetric and gynecologic conditions; using the two modalities together should vastly improve ultrasound diagnostic capabilities./
