CCP Margining of OTC Derivatives: Towards the Missing Link: OTC derivative market participants are facing vastly increased collateral requirements for both cleared and uncleared OTC derivatives as a result of regulatory reforms. Estimates of the amounts required range from hundreds of billions of dollars to tens of trillions. Accordingly margin efficiency is emerging as a major area of focus. This article considers the development of CCP links to facilitate efficient margining of cleared OTC derivatives
