Technique - Modification of C1-C2 Transarticular Screw Fixation By Image-Guided Surgery - C1-C2 transarticular screw fixation carries the risk of vertebral artery injury. In 37 cases, screw placement was performed by image-guided surgery. Compared to the conventional technique in 78 cases, the risk of screw misplacement is lowered./

Technique - Primary Lumbosacral Stability After Open Posterior and Endoscopic Anterior Fusion With Interbody Implants: A Roentgen Stereophotogrammetric Analysis - In this clinical study, roentgen stereophotogrammetric analysis was used to examine the primary intervertebral stability of the lumbosacral segment after laparoscopic insertion of carbon cages following posterior pedicle screw fixation. Findings showed that additional anterior endoscopic lumbosacral fusion significantly increases the primary stability of the posterior fusion with a pedicle system in two axes of motion./

Technique - Prone Position Endoscopic Transthoracic Release With Simultaneous Posterior Instrumentation for Spinal Deformity: A Description of the Technique - This report describes the technique and clinical results of endoscopic transthoracic anterior release performed for the correction of adult spinal deformity with the patient prone, on the concave side for scoliosis or on either side for kyphosis, with simultaneous posterior instrumentation and correction. This technique offers a less invasive method of accessing the anterior spinal column, with the benefits of excellent field of view, minimal soft tissue disruption, and an improved cosmetic result. With this simultaneous technique, the need for staged or subsequent procedures is eliminated/

Technique - Spinal Reflex Attenuation Associated With Spinal Manipulation - A study was performed to elucidate the effects of spinal manipulation on the excitability of lumbar alpha motoneurons. Manual procedures result in significant transient attenuation of motoneuron activity. The results suggest that manual spinal procedures evoke afferent discharges, which in turn produce short-term inhibitory effects in the human motor system./
