Technical Issues and Pathologic Implications of Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Early-Stage Breast Cancer Patients - Sentinel node biopsy can be better accomplished when a combined approach is used because the detection rate increases significantly from 73.8% (113/153) with Patent Blue-V alone, to 94.1% (144/153) with RGS alone, up to 98.7% (151/153) with Patent Blue-V and RGS. Micrometastasis in the sN implies a low risk of metastatic involvement of non-sN, mostly in pT1a-pT1b tumours, while macrometastases in the sN are associated with a substantial risk of metastases in non-sN, even in small tumours./

Technical Note: A "New" Arthroscopic Sliding Knot - Sliding knots are an essential element of arthroscopic shoulder surgery. The authors have been using a previously undescribed arthroscopic sliding knot with good clinical success. This knot has been used in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder stabilization, and arthroscopic SLAP repair. The technique of this knot is illustrated./

Technical Note - Early Experiences With Image-Guided Transoral Surgery for the Pathologies of the Upper Cervical Spine - Presented at the European Cervical Spine Research Society. Image-guided transoral resection of the odontoid process was performed in three patients using cranial navigation software. The patients were scanned and operated in HALO fixation. High navigation accuracy was achieved in all cases. Navigation provided three-dimensional orientation and safe midline localization and reduced the use of intraoperative fluoroscopy./
